Saying Prayers for Vicki

Vicki was involved in a terrible head-on collision on January 22, 2008. She survived an aortic tear to her heart and had open heart surgery that night. She had other injuries as well such as broken limbs and a crushed hip. We all know and understand it's truly a miracle she is still with us and will be using this site to give the latest updates of her condition and surgery outcomes. Her next surgery is scheduled for Wednesday January 30th. Please pray for her as she has had complications with every procedure done thus far. Thank you!

Vicki,
You are an inspiration. Since I joined the Mears family, you and your family have shown me love and kindness. I count myself lucky to have you as friends.
Keep up the fight and I will keep praying for you.

As terrible as this event was, Vicki, the family, and the community have shown tremendous courage and faith. There are many things in the world that seem negative and destructive, but with this adversity, inspiration has surfaced with all those that have shown support and prayers for Vicki. Vicki will always be my hero. Thanks to everyone.

Vicki and family,
I am sorry to hear about your struggles at this time. You are in our daily thoughts and prayers. We pray all will go well as Vicki continues with her recovery. We are currently living in South Korea so I am grateful for this website so we can be kept updated on Vicki's health. I wish we lived closer so that we could be of some help but for now we will continue to pray for everyone. We will be attending the Seoul Korea temple this weekend so if it is ok I will put your names on the temple rolls. Stay Strong Vicki.
Love,
Amy Gold Niebuhr
